"Black Boys on Mopeds" by Sinead O'Connor

Recently someone asked me if I could pick a song to help young people better understand music from when I was their age. For some reason this song from 1990 sprang to mind. It is such a specific protest song from such a specific moment in time sung by one of the most unique, most misunderstood voices of all time. I don't think people realize that the early '90s were rife with music that was trying to raise awareness - not always successfully since it was often mocked. Also it's just a beautiful song.
